Software and Graphics
PKR’s software is one of a kind, and was the reason PKR was able to launch itself right into a top competitor in online poker.

PKR was the first poker room to offer state of the art, 3D software, with a ton of one-of-a-kind options including, player emotions, chip tricks and more. PKR allows you to build your own character, similar to how you would in a video game. As you earn more PKR points you can unlock more clothes and chip tricks for your character as you build them into the player you want them to be. You can watch the game from many camera angles, from first person to the standard overview. The only negative with the PKR software is that the number of hands played in an hour is pretty low. With the software being so sophisticated, it takes time for all the player options and bells and whistles to play through each hand.

Multi-table Tournaments

PKR has new multi-table tournaments running about every 15 minutes, with daily buy-ins up to $55. Many of the tournaments have guaranteed prize pools, so the fields are large enough to compensate for this (usually around 200).

The largest weekly tournament is the Sunday Classic with a buy-in of $71.50 and $25K guaranteed. Once a month this $25K tournament is replaced by the monthly $100,000 PKR Masters event with a buy-in of $270.

PKR offers a variety of tournament types including speed and shorthanded tournaments, as well as their terminator bounty tournaments.

Sit and Go Tournaments
The sit and go tournaments at PKR are quite popular as well, with most tables filling up within a few minutes and sit and go’s running with buy-ins up to over $50. PKR is also running a heads-up sit and go ladder, with buy-ins reaching $977 at their peak!

Ring Games
PKR only offers two types of ring games, but the ones that they do offer fill up quite well. The hold’em games are offered up to $10/$20 blinds with games usually filled up to at least $5/$10. Omaha has games up to $5/10 with usually a table filled at each level. The players at PKR can be loose, with average pot sizes usually up to 10 times the big blind. PKR does not offer a player’s per flop statistic, so it is hard to tell how loose the players really are.

Competition
It’s hard to tell what the competition is like at PKR because they do not show the players per flop statistics in their lobby. It would be safe to assume that not many pros play at PKR just due to the fact that they can’t get in enough hands per hour, and they really don’t care about the graphics. The 3D, videogame like software may bring in more fish who are just interested in having a bit of fun, but these players would be playing the low limits.

PKR offers both email and live chat support. The live chat support is a nice feature, as it allows you to contact someone at any hour of the day and get your question answered quickly. PKR’s email support is also quality, with responses usually accurate and prompt.
